A note from radKIDS at Eaglecrest Elementary

RadKIDS is a personal safety education program with a simple yet essential mission, to provide all children with the tools they need to recognize, avoid, and escape potential danger and violence in our world. We cover things such as abduction, bullies, child abuse, sexual assault/abuse, Internet safety, home safety and vehicle safety, to name a few. We are so excited for our third year of teaching radKIDS. For the past two years, we have had great success and wonderful parental support. We have had a lot of positive feedback from parents who say this program has changed the life of their child, by giving them confidence, personal safety skills, and self-esteem.

Third term simulation will be Thursday, April 2nd, at 5:30 p.m. for 1st grade and 6:30 p.m. for 3rd grade. We encourage you to bring your family to see what the kids have learned. The Lehi Police Department will be there in padded suits to help your kids simulate getting away from strangers. The students will utilize the training learned in the radKIDS program and practice calling 911. This is a very empowering activity so please mark your calendar and make this a family night activity.

If you are willing to assist us in bringing these valuable tools to our children, please contact Sabrina Rex at 768-4167. We need your help to make this program work. For more information on radKIDS you can visit their website http://www.radkids.org/

Sincerely,

PTA Board
